PremCom History



Old PremCom logoWhen we started out in 1992, we focused on offering services related to integrating voice and data communications  for small to medium sized businesses. Our basic services were:

  • Design and installation of high speed cabling systems
  • Wide Area Networking
  • Voice and Data Integration

Little did we know back then that these basic services would be the key technology drivers for all businesses 15 plus years later. When we opened our doors there was no Internet - today we can’t imagine our lives without it!  PremCom Corporation has had the unique opportunity of developing a company during a true renaissance of technology that affects all aspects of our personal and business lives.

Starting in 1992, we quickly developed the skills for large project management by securing a contract to design and install the infrastructure for the M&T Bank Goldome Center. We Completed the installation for 5,000 users in just 4 months. We are proud to say that M&T Bank continues to be one our top clients and has called on PremCom to provide services in Buffalo and throughout New York State.

As our business has grown, we have continually taken on challenging projects. These are a few of the highlights and projects that have helped PremCom develop the unique skill sets that have made us successful. In 1994PremCom Corporation Building we were the first Western New York company to offer Voice and Data integration across corporate Wide Area Networks.  In 1995 we deployed network installations in 60 cities nationwide for Adelphia Cable (now Time Warner).  Little did we know that this early foundation in the integration of Voice on a network would be a key driver for our business 10 years later. As we continued to grow with the industry through the boom years of the mid 90’s, our unique perspective on technology brought unique opportunities to partner with national players in the industry. In 1999, we were partnered with Alltel and were awarded a 3.5 million dollar contract to design, install and maintain the entire network infrastructure for Clarion University of Pennsylvania. In 2001, we were awarded a contract to deploy connectivity and network services to Five Star Bank for 50 branches.  That same year we were chosen to provide hosting services to Bissnet, a consortium of 17 private and parochial schools in Western New York. Finally we saw our technical skill sets come full circle when we partnered with ShoreTel in 2002 to offer their Voice Over IP PBX products. We quickly Peter & Don in Dubaibecame the dominate service provider in the new market segment with large installations for Western New York companies such as Upstate Farms Cooperatives, NOCO Energy, Evans National Bank, Ecology and Environment and most recently Cellino and Barnes. In 2006 we became “The Official Telephone Service Provider for the Buffalo Sabres”.

2007 is the year that we became a Global Company. Our success with ShoreTel has offered us a unique opportunity in May of this year we signed a contract to become a Value Added Distributor for their products in the Middle East. In July we launched our Toronto office where we will leverage skills developed over the past decade to the Canadian market.

It has been a long and interesting journey to this point and we truly would like to thank our clients and employees for this growth and success!
